Workshop: Scanning the Surface: Digital Tool for Ceramic Exploration
July 13 - 18 With Erin Berry and Trae Story This institute will introduce students to the basics of 3D scanning via accessible smartphone apps, and how to search open-source databases for 3D scans.Students will learn to edit and manipulate these files on free software and bring them into the physical world by way of clay 3D printing, PLA plastic 3D printing, and plaster molds. This is a skill building class which aims to make digital clay technology approachable, and open up the exciting possibilities it has to offer.
All levels: beginners encouraged.
